About the role

To support a growing team, the remote Senior System Engineer will install, configure, and maintain IBM mainframe operating systems, focusing on IBM z/OS and related software products while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain IBM z/OS operating systems and ISV products Troubleshoot system issues, perform dump analysis, and execute system IPL planning Maintain documentation for system configurations and collaborate with application teams for problem resolution

Required qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related technical discipline plus 10 years of relevant experience Strong experience with IBM z/OS internals and system components Proficiency in SMP/E for software installation and maintenance Experience with JCL, REXX, SAS, COBOL, and TSO/ISPF Knowledge of system utilities such as IEBCOPY, IDCAMS, and IEBGENER
