Line Cook

As a Line Cook at Erickson Senior Living, you’ll prepare and plate high-quality, nutritious meals for residents in a fast-paced Food & Beverage Operations team. You’ll follow standardized recipes, maintain proper food safety and sanitation, and ensure consistent portioning and presentation. Working closely with chefs and servers, you support a warm, resident-first dining experience by accommodating special diets and requests. You’ll help with prep, stock rotation, cleaning, and equipment care, contributing to an efficient, safe, and collaborative kitchen that reflects our values of respect, integrity, and compassion. Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion guidelines Set up, stock, and break down station for each service period Ensure food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness meet regulatory and company standards Follow special diet and allergy requirements for senior residents Maintain proper food labeling, storage, and rotation (FIFO) Operate and care for kitchen equipment safely and correctly Coordinate with chefs and servers to ensure timely, accurate meal service Assist with prep work, inventory, and receiving deliveries Support a respectful, team-oriented work environment Communicate low stock, equipment issues, and menu concerns to supervisors Line cooking Food preparation Knife skills Food safety and sanitation Knowledge of special diets (e.g., low sodium, diabetic, texture-modified) Batch cooking and portion control Recipe reading and scaling Station setup and breakdown Commercial kitchen equipment operation Time management in high-volume service Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food Handler’s Permit ServSafe Food Protection Manager (preferred) Culinary training or apprenticeship (preferred) Experience in high-volume or healthcare/senior living kitchens (preferred)
