Senior Musical Instrument Retail Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a Part-Time Senior Sales Associate to support our student-focused retail store. In this role, you’ll guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, delivering outstanding, educational service to students, parents, and educators. You’ll drive sales through product expertise, suggestive selling, and accurate transactions while maintaining visual standards, inventory, and merchandising. You’ll support school service initiatives, promote lessons, process repairs, and help create a welcoming, inclusive environment that reflects our mission of expanding access to music education and community engagement. Provide consultative sales support for instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons Process sales, rentals, returns, and lesson enrollments using POS systems Maintain store merchandising, displays, and visual standards Support inventory receiving, stocking, and cycle counts Assist customers with repair intake and service logistics Educate students, parents, and educators on product and lesson options Promote lesson programs, events, and school partnerships Achieve individual and store sales and service goals Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, student-focused store culture Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Cash handling Customer relationship management Product merchandising Inventory management Music instrument knowledge Instrument rental processing Lesson program enrollment Basic repair intake Background in music performance or education (preferred) Knowledge of band and orchestra instruments Sales or customer service training (preferred)
