About the role

Full-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant A private family is seeking an experienced, dependable, and child-friendly Full-Time Housekeeper / Family Assistant to support their household. The family consists of a couple and their 2-year-old son, along with two dogs—a Golden Retriever and a German Shepherd. This role is primarily focused on housekeeping, with light childcare responsibilities as needed. The child will soon begin attending school on a half-day schedule, and the Housekeeper / Nanny will assist with his morning routine, school drop-off, and occasional childcare support. The family resides in a single-family home of approximately 3,600 square feet with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Flexibility is appreciated based on the family's needs.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily general housekeeping and detailed cleaning throughout the residence
  • Maintain bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and common spaces
  • Make beds and change linens
  • Handle household laundry, including washing, folding, ironing, and putting items away
  • Maintain closets, drawers, and household organization
  • Clean and organize the refrigerator, pantry, and kitchen areas
  • Maintain household supplies and notify the family when items need to be replenished
  • Assist with household organization and seasonal projects
  • Keep the home consistently clean, organized, and guest-ready
  • Assist with packing and unpacking when needed
  • Run occasional household errands as requested
  • Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the family
  • Provide occasional light childcare for the family's 2-year-old son
  • Assist with the child's morning routine
  • Drive the child to school for his half-day program
  • Assist with the child's laundry as part of the household laundry
  • Engage the child in age-appropriate activities when providing care
  • Be comfortable working around a Golden Retriever and German Shepherd
  • Let the dogs outside and assist with basic daily pet care
Requirements:
  • Previous professional housekeeping experience in a private home
  • Experience working around young children
  • Strong cleaning and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a household independently and proactively
  • Comfortable preparing simple meals
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record
  • Comfortable transporting a young child
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
  • Professional and discreet
  • Ability to anticipate household needs
  • Flexibility and a team-oriented attitude
  • Willingness to travel is a plus
Compensation: Starting at $40–$45 per hour, depending on experience
