Overview In this Senior Software Engineer role at Transamerica, you design, develop, and support enterprise applications that enable financial services delivery at scale. Compensation / Benefits Competitive pay Bonus for eligible employees 401k match Employee stock purchase plan Tuition reimbursement Paid time off and holidays Responsibilities Collaborate with development staff, product owners, and offshore teams in agile setting Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications and services Participate in technical analysis, solution design, and architecture discussions Contribute to design reviews and address complex technical challenges Evaluate options for scalability, security, performance, and cost Develop and support integrations, APIs, and distributed architectures Coordinate with vendors and offshore resources to meet objectives Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for innovation and continuous improvement Support production apps, troubleshoot issues, and participate in problem resolution Present technical concepts and project updates to technical and non-technical audiences Key requirements Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience Three years of software development experience using the primary programming language/platform Strong understanding of software development principles and object-oriented design Two years of experience with database design and data modeling Experience with enterprise applications development, APIs, SOA, and integrations Experience with cloud technologies and modern development platforms Familiarity with source control, automated testing, deployment automation, and CI/CDStrong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective verbal and written communication Ability to work independently and in a team, manage priorities and deadlinescollaborationcommunicationproblem-solvingAPIsservice-oriented architecturessystem integrations
