Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team! As a Nurse Practitioner, you will be examining children and young adults, addressing both minor and major issues, marking growth and progress, and ordering tests. You will also be advising guardians on best health and wellness practices, prescribing medicine, and referring patients to specialists as needed. The ideal candidate has an excellent bedside manner, especially with children, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well both in a team environment and independently.
Responsibilities:
  • Examine young patients to determine care needs
  • Order tests, read results, and offer diagnoses
  • Prescribe medicine, educate patients and their families on side effects and illness, and advise them on the best course of action to promote health and wellness
  • Maintain excellent care records of all patients seen
  • Call one night a week and one weekend a month
  • Position can be part-time or full-time (full-time is four days per week)
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current state license to practice medicine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with medical software desired
  • Familiarity with best practices when it comes to testing and diagnostic standards
  • The ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in the workplace
