We are seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Accounting Professional to support a high-volume, coordination-focused team. This role combines administrative responsibilities with basic accounting support and is best suited for someone who enjoys organizing information, validating data, assisting customers, and ensuring transactions and records are accurate. The position leans more heavily toward administration and coordination than traditional accounting, but a basic understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting concepts is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate administrative activities, documentation, and follow-up across internal teams and external contacts.
Review, compare, and validate data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Identify discrepancies, research missing or incorrect information, and communicate needed corrections.
Provide responsive and professional customer service by answering questions, explaining processes, and resolving routine issues.
Support basic accounting-related activities involving credits, debits, transaction records, and account information.
Maintain accurate spreadsheets, trackers, reports, and supporting documentation.
Use Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze data, including creating or updating PivotTables and using VLOOKUP or similar lookup functions.
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Partner with team members to coordinate workflow and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Required Qualifications:
Previous customer service experience, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
Prior administrative, accounting support, billing, finance operations, or data coordination experience.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, including credits and debits.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP. Experience with XLOOKUP is also helpful.
Ability to validate information, identify discrepancies, and follow through on corrections.
Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work 40 hours per week through the end of February.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with contracts, invoices, billing records, account data, or other detailed financial documentation.
Experience in a high-volume environment that requires frequent coordination and follow-up.
Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, customer-focused, and highly accurate. They are comfortable working with detailed information, coordinating across multiple contacts, and using Excel to validate and manage data. They understand basic accounting terminology but are equally comfortable handling administrative work, follow-up, and process coordination.
