Paid Time Off: Personal, Vacation & Sick The Arc Mercer is seeking a strategic, innovative, and hands‑on Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our enterprise‑wide people strategy. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CHRO will shape organizational culture, strengthen workforce capability, and drive major talent and operational decisions that support our mission and long‑term growth. This role is ideal for a forward‑thinking HR executive with strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence strategy at the highest levels.
Key Leadership Responsibilities:
Strategic Human Capital Leadership — Build and execute a comprehensive HR strategy aligned to organizational goals. Lead culture, organizational design, and workforce planning initiatives. Workforce & DEI Governance — Advance diversity, equity, and inclusion across a multifaceted workforce including full‑time, part‑time, and volunteer staff.
Compensation & Benefits:
Oversight — Ensure competitive, compliant, and fiscally responsible compensation and benefits programs. Lead evaluation and administration of all offerings. Enterprise Talent Management — Oversee recruitment, succession planning, leadership development, and performance management. Strengthen retention, internal mobility, and workforce capability. Employee Relations & Engagement — Foster a high‑engagement, professional work environment through proactive employee relations, communication frameworks, and recognition programs. Regulatory Compliance & Policy Stewardship — Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations. Maintain policies that uphold ethical conduct and operational integrity. Executive HR Leadership — Direct HR operations including employee relations, learning and development, compensation analysis, HRIS administration, benefits management, and culture initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience Expertise across HR disciplines: recruitment, talent management, employee relations, compensation, compliance, training, and leadership development Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and storytelling skills Ability to interpret HR data and metrics to drive decision‑making Why Join Us?
