TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Outpatient Oncology for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. Job Description & Requirements

Minimum Experience:
1.5 years of nursing experience - 1 year must be in Outpatient Infusion Oncology and must be current experience If only experienced in BMT or highly specialized oncology: will not be a good skill match Will you accept a first-time traveler? No - must have completed at least (2) 13-week assignment Travelers must live >100 miles away from facility Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler
Required Certifications:
BLS requiredONS Chemo certification required - will be collected as part of complianceOCN preferred
Charting System/Equipment:
- Epic Ambulatory - required
- Med Dispensing: Omnicell
- Patient Types:
- Medical Oncology/Chemotherapy Infusion
- All cancer types:
- Solid tumorGYNBreastHematologyVisits per Day: Average # of patients seen per day: will take 5-8 patients per day; 3-4 at a time max
Required Education:
RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing
Skills required:
- 1+ year EPIC Ambulatory experience is required - decline without this
- Must have broad oncology experience to include all cancers listed above
- If only experience in oncology is a highly specialized experience such as BMT, will not be a good skill match for this role
- Comfortability with: Chemotherapy infusion, chart checks, rooming patients: VS, weight, review of systems check, medication reconciliation
- Floating: If yes, where? Will float to other clinics as needed within the Cancer Care Institute
Scheduling:
No weekends
No call
No major holidays - will be scheduled to work minor holidays that the clinic is open
