Windows System Administrator and Team Lead

This role supports our Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD. Job Description and Responsibilities: Lead a team of 9 Systems Administrators on-site full-time at Patuxent River NAS. The Team Lead will also perform system administrator duties and assist with day‑to‑day management of Windows Servers and desktop systems (hardware and software), including monitoring performance, checking system health, troubleshoot systems and user account issues, and RMF authorization tasks such as STIGs and ACAS scanning. Support routine server maintenance tasks, including disk cleanup, storage allocation, and verifying backups. Perform basic user and group management in Active Directory, such as creating accounts, resetting passwords, and updating permissions. Oversee and maintain patching by applying updates and mitigations, and documenting completed work. Monitor event logs and escape issues related to system errors, warnings, or security alerts. Create, update and manage BATCH/PowerShell scripts for automating tasks. Apply STIGs and complete ACAS scans Manage team tasking, build sprints, maintain SOPs, provide monthly status reports, and supervisory tasks Other duties as assigned
