TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Newburgh, New York, 12550!Job TitleRegistered Nurse (RN) – Emergency RoomLocationNewburgh, NY | Emergency Department – Level III Trauma CenterSchedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Weekend and Holiday availability requiredKey ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care in a 30-bed Emergency Department operating as a Level III Trauma CenterManage high patient ratios in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentAdminister medications safely to both adult and pediatric populations in accordance with facility protocolsRecognize and respond to cardiac dysrhythmias, identifying rhythms and appropriate interventionsComplete unit-specific competency exams upon orientation, including a Medication Administration Test and a Basic Dysrhythmia Recognition Exam, with a minimum passing score of 80%Adhere to facility dress code requirements (dark blue or white scrubs)
Required Qualifications:
Active New York State RN LicenseACLS certification requiredBLS certification requiredPALS certification requiredAbility to manage high patient ratios (up to 1:9) Must be available for weekend and holiday shiftsPreferred Experience / SkillsMinimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience preferredExperience working in a trauma-level emergency settingFamiliarity with adult and pediatric medication administration protocolsProficiency in basic dysrhythmia recognition and treatment interventionsWhy Join UsOpportunity to work in a dynamic Level III Trauma Center Emergency Department with a high-acuity patient populationNo floating or on-call/standby requirements, allowing for a focused and consistent clinical experience
