About the role
Location:
Remote from Colorado, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington or Washington, D.C.Our client, a fast-growing company in the payments and fintech space, is looking for a Content Strategist to shape and execute the content strategy that brings its brand voice to life — across the website, blog, social, campaigns, and thought leadership. You’ll own the editorial calendar and be the steward of the brand voice, turning positioning and messaging into content that builds trust with billers, businesses, financial institutions, and the consumers who ultimately get paid through the platform. This is a hands-on strategy-and-execution role: you’ll plan what content gets created and why, then write and edit much of it yourself while partnering with Brand, Product Marketing, Design, and subject matter experts across the company to bring it to life. Why This Role Matters In a competitive payments and fintech landscape, content is often the first — and most consistent — way this company earns trust with the audiences it serves. This role ensures content is intentional, on-brand, and genuinely useful, rather than one-off assets built in isolation.
What You’ll Do:
Own and maintain the company’s content strategy and editorial calendar across web, blog, social, email, and campaign channels. Write, edit, and oversee high-quality content — thought leadership, case studies, web copy, and campaign assets — that reflects the brand voice. Partner with Brand, Product Marketing, and Design to translate positioning and messaging into compelling content across the funnel. Develop and maintain the company’s brand voice and content style guidelines, and champion consistency across all content and channels. Collaborate with subject matter experts across Product, Sales, and Customer Experience to source stories, data, and insights for content. Manage relationships with freelance writers and agencies as needed to scale content production. Track and report on content performance, using insights to refine strategy and prioritize future content investment. Stay current on content trends, SEO best practices, and the competitive landscape in payments and fintech. How You’ll Work With AIUse AI writing and research tools to accelerate first drafts, outlines, and content research. Apply AI-assisted SEO and keyword tools to sharpen content strategy and improve discoverability. Use AI-powered analytics to identify top-performing content themes and formats, and double down on what works. Explore AI tools for content repurposing — turning long-form pieces into social, email, and sales-enablement variants — to scale output efficiently.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.4-6+ years of experience in content strategy, content marketing, or editorial roles, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech. Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating range across formats. Experience developing and maintaining brand voice and style guidelines. Strong project management skills; comfortable owning an editorial calendar and multiple concurrent projects. Data-informed approach to content — comfortable using performance metrics to guide strategy. Excellent collaboration skills, with experience partnering across Marketing, Product, and Sales. Experience in payments, fintech, or B2B financial services a plus. Ripple Talent is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
