Senior Cloud Engineer

Primary Responsibilities: Monitors cloud system performance, availability, compliance, and security using cloud-native or third-party monitoring tools. Designs and implements cross-account architectures, landing zones, and enterprise governance using frameworks like AWS Organizations and Azure Management Groups. Works with application teams to design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover strategies across Azure and AWS environments to ensure business continuity and resilience. Regularly reviews and optimizes cloud resources, configurations, and policies to align with cloud best practices, cost optimization, governance, and security requirements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, cybersecurity teams, and IT administrators to support enterprise cloud initiatives and operational excellence. Provides guidance on migrating on-premises systems to Azure and AWS cloud platforms.cts as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure and AWS-related architecture, operations, troubleshooting, and cloud service inquiries. Maintains comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, operational processes, standards, and procedures. Leads the effort in infrastructure automation, provisioning, and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.rchitects and maintains secure identity management, IAM roles, and access control models (e.g., Cognito, Azure AD/Entra ID) across multi-account environments. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology (IT), or a related field required Or H.S. Diploma and equivalent experience in lieu of degree required 6-8 years of relevant experience required 4-6 years of Azure/AWS administration experience required Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing AWS/Azure environments. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform. Familiarity with scripting languages like Power Shell, Python, or Bash. Knowledge and experience in cloud native monitoring tools and/or Datadog. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration.
