This is a full-time position offering a pay rate between $19.50 and $20.50 per hour. We have openings across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, and all employees are paid on a weekly basis. We are currently seeking a Batch Mixer to support our expanding manufacturing operations in Portage, IN, providing a stable environment with potential for professional advancement.
Core Responsibilities:
- Collect, measure, and combine raw materials based on specific batch formulas
- Prepare and cook batches to ensure they are ready for the production line
- Review and adhere to all production documentation and batch records
- Manage the operation of both heated and non-heated batching machinery
- Ensure all mixing equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to maintain standards
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance to help keep machinery running efficiently
- Help maintain a safe and high-quality working environment for the entire team
Required Qualifications:
- Prior background in manufacturing or batch mixing is helpful but not mandatory
- Proficiency with basic computer systems, with preference given to those familiar with PLCsAbility to perform intermediate mathematical calculations
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A self-driven attitude that allows you to contribute both independently and as part of a collaborative groupAI Disclosure
