About the role

Our client is seeking a Junior Software Developer to help maintain and improve the applications that support the business. This is an opportunity for a recent computer science graduate or a developer with up to approximately three years of experience to build practical skills, solve business problems, and grow professionally. You’ll contribute to application enhancements, new features, troubleshooting, and day-to-day support. The role requires a foundation in .NET development using C# or VB.NET, along with basic SQL skills. You will also learn to support and develop within Acumatica, our ERP platform. Prior Acumatica experience is not required.
What You’ll Do: Develop and enhance business applications using C#.net, with guidance from experienced team members. Help build new features and improve existing applications based on business and user needs. Investigate support tickets, troubleshoot application issues, and implement fixes. Write and modify SQL queries and assist with stored procedures, data troubleshooting, and reporting. Learn Acumatica and contribute to ERP enhancements, customizations, and support. Test and debug changes to help ensure applications are reliable and function as intended. Work with colleagues and business users to understand requirements and communicate progress. Maintain clear documentation of application changes, troubleshooting steps, and support procedures. Continue developing your technical skills and understanding of how software supports business operations. What We’re Looking For:
  • A recent graduate or early-career developer with approximately 0–3 years of software development experience. Relevant internships, academic projects, and personal projects are welcome.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical training and experience.
  • Foundational experience with .NET development using C# or VB.NET; proficiency in both is not required.
  • Basic SQL knowledge, including writing queries, using joins, and understanding relational databases.
  • An understanding of object-oriented programming and basic software development practices.
  • An interest in debugging, troubleshooting, and supporting applications, as well as developing new functionality.
  • A willingness to learn, ask questions, accept feedback, and work through unfamiliar problems.
  • Good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to organize assigned tasks.
  • Helpful, but Not Required
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or stored procedures.
  • Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
  • Exposure to business applications, ERP systems, or reporting tools.
  • Experience with Acumatica, Microsoft Azure, SharePoint, or Tableau.
