About the role

Company Description: Hila is a health and wellness app made for Jewish women, founded by recent Columbia alumni. It brings together cycle tracking, nourishment matched to each phase of the cycle (with kosher food recommendations), and content that supports body and soul. We’re launching in January and growing our team.

Role Description: We’re looking for a Marketing Intern to join us ahead of launch. ALL APPLICANTS MUST BE LOCATED IN NYC! To apply, send a bit about yourself and any content or accounts you’ve worked on to hello@withhila.app.This is a part-time, hybrid role built around a student schedule, and a chance to work on the marketing for a real app going live this January. You’ll leave with launch campaigns, content, and results you can put in your portfolio. You’ll work directly with the founders on:

Creating content for Instagram, TikTok, and email
Planning and running our launch campaigns
Growing our waitlist and community
Reaching out to campus groups, organizations, and partners
Tracking what’s working and sharing ideas to grow our audience

Qualifications:

Current college student or recent grad (Columbia and Barnard students especially welcome)
Strong writer who knows what makes social content work
Comfortable on Instagram and TikTok; Canva, CapCut, or analytics experience is a plus
Organized, reliable, and able to balance this with classes
Interest in women’s health, wellness, or the Jewish community
Able to meet in person in New York occasionally
No marketing experience required. Bring your ideas and your eye for trends.
What You’ll Get$500 stipend through launch, with paid roles possible as Hila grows
About 10 hours a week, flexible around your class schedule
Hands-on experience marketing a real app through launch
Portfolio-ready work you can show future employers
Mentorship from recent Columbia alumni
You’ll join a team where you have real freedom to shape your role. Put in as much as you’d like. If you want to work hard and grow this into something bigger, we’ll do everything we can to support you.
This internship is designed to help students grow and develop their skills. We’re also open to discussing other payment arrangements for the right candidate.
