About VidAngelVidAngel is a fast-growing streaming platform that has helped over 1,000,000 customers over the past decade with content filtering services that help families watch entertainment on their terms. We're evolving from a content filtering utility into a comprehensive family entertainment platform. As a small but nimble tech company, we move fast, wear multiple hats, and are building something that matters to families across the country.
The Role:
We're looking for someone who loves the chaos of the comment section. You'll be the voice of VidAngel in our social comments: answering questions, welcoming new fans, handling the occasional troll with grace (and maybe a little wit), and flagging anything that needs a closer look from our team. This is a part-time role of 6-12 hours a week, with much of the work happening during evening and weekend peaks when our community is most active. It's a rare chance to shape how a growing brand talks with its customers, one reply at a time.
What You'll DoCore Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to comments and messages across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and other social platforms
- Reply in VidAngel's brand voice: warm, helpful, and occasionally witty, never mean-spirited
- Hide or remove spam, abusive, or off-topic comments according to our moderation guidelines
- Answer common product questions and route account or billing issues to our customer support team
- Escalate sensitive comments, potential PR issues, or trending conversations to the Social Media Manager
- Surface recurring questions, customer feedback, and content ideas to the social and content teams
- Track your time accurately during scheduled moderation windows
- Growth Opportunities:
- Report directly to our Social Media Manager and learn how a brand's social program runs day to day
- Help shape our moderation guidelines and library of approved responses
- Build community engagement skills that lead to broader social media and marketing roles
- What We're Looking ForRequired:
- Strong written communication skills with a knack for short, clear, friendly replies
- Familiarity with major social platforms and how their communities behave
- Good judgment about when to respond, when to hide, and when to escalate
- Thick skin and a calm, positive approach to criticism or negativity
- Reliability and availability for regular evening and weekend shifts
- Self-starter mentality with ability to work independently and solve problems proactively
Preferred:
- Experience moderating or managing social media for a brand, creator, or online community
- Customer service experience
- A sense of humor that's clever without being cutting
- Familiarity with VidAngel or the family entertainment space
