Director, Enterprise Learning & Development

Overview In this role you will shape and scale Alnylam’s enterprise learning ecosystem, guiding strategy and modernization to support growth, innovation, and our patient-focused mission. You will lead AI-enabled upskilling and just-in-time learning, partnering across HR, IT, and business teams to translate strategy into practical learning experiences. You will drive adoption, behavior change, and measurable impact at scale in a fast-moving, matrixed environment. Compensation / Benefitsmedical, dental, and vision coveragelife and disability insurancelifestyle reimbursement program 401(k) with generous company matchpaid time off and wellness daysrecharge breaks and holidays Responsibilities Own and evolve enterprise learning and development strategy aligned to business goals Lead company-wide upskilling and reskilling, including AI literacy to support the 2030 strategy Integrate generative and agentic AI into enterprise learning with cross-functional partnerships Drive adoption of AI-powered, in-the-flow learning solutions and build employee confidence in AIDesign high-impact learning experiences that drive application and behavior change Ensure scalable, accessible learning across roles, regions, and levels Embed learning into core talent practices (hiring, onboarding, performance, talent planning)Define and track impact metrics to measure value and ROIBuild and manage strategic external partnerships to scale learning Key requirements 8–10+ years in enterprise learning, talent development, or organizational effectiveness with large-scale initiatives Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred (MBA a plus)Proven ability to design and deliver enterprise learning strategies with measurable business impact Experience using AI, automation, and data-driven platforms to personalize learning at scale Test-and-learn mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and iterating quickly Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management, including senior leadership Strong program and project management skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environmentstrong communication and facilitationstakeholder managementinfluencing at all levelsAI literacyenterprise learning platformsdata-driven decision making
