Senior Retail Sales Associate – Musical Instruments & Lessons

Music & Arts seeks a full-time Senior Sales Associate for our retail store. In this role, you’ll lead in-store sales of band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and private lessons. You’ll provide student-focused service, guiding parents, students, and educators to the right products and programs. Responsibilities include using POS systems, maintaining merchandising standards, managing basic inventory tasks, and supporting lesson enrollment and community outreach. Drive in-store sales of instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons to meet targets Provide expert, student-focused customer service to parents, students, and educators Advise customers on band and orchestra instruments and lesson options Process sales, rentals, returns, and payments using POS systems Maintain merchandising standards, displays, and product signage Support inventory management, stocking, and cycle counts Coordinate and promote lesson programs and educational offerings Assist with local outreach to schools and community music programs Generate basic sales reports and communicate results to store leadership Help train and mentor junior sales associates on products and service standards Retail sales Point-of-sale (POS) systems Customer relationship management Product merchandising Inventory management Cash handling Music instrument product knowledge Sales reporting Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Basic data entry Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Background in music performance or music education preferred Previous specialty retail or educational retail experience Comfort advising on band and orchestra instruments
