About the Role: The Senior Oracle Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing software systems and applications for enhancements and new products within our client’s Oracle Financial ERP environment, including cloud-based and internet-related tools for internal consumption. This individual provides technical solutions that enable the company to meet its strategic objectives, with a primary focus on the General Ledger and Accounts Receivable modules. This is a senior individual contributor role. The Senior Oracle Software Engineer collaborates closely with business analysts, quality assurance testers, and project managers to ensure successful teamwork, effective development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions.
Job Description:
  • Duties & Responsibilities
  • Designs, develops, configures, and tests enhancements and new functionality within Oracle Financials Cloud, with a focus on General Ledger and Accounts Receivable.
  • Analyzes business requirements from finance and accounting stakeholders and translates them into technical specifications.
  • Designs software, application, and database enhancements or new products in alignment with defined business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Develops, builds, and tests software systems and applications, including cloud-based and internet-related tools for internal consumption.
  • Writes high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code, including SQL against relational databases.
  • Builds and supports integrations between Oracle Financials Cloud and surrounding enterprise systems using microservices and established integration patterns.
  • Performs configuration, testing, and production support for Oracle Cloud financial modules.
  • Investigates and remediates defects in software solutions, identifying root cause and implementing lasting fixes.
  • Supports software planning cycles and provides feedback on product and project estimates.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation, including code comments, design documents, and user manuals.
  • Collaborates with business analysts, quality assurance testers, and project managers to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Provides technical support to end users to ensure proper use of software solutions.
  • Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; in lieu of a degree, at least 7 years of experience in software development.4+ years of professional software development experience. Hands-on experience with Oracle Financial ERP (Oracle Financials Cloud).Hands-on experience with the Oracle Accounts Receivable module. Hands-on experience with the Oracle General Ledger module. In-depth knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices. In-depth knowledge of software development tools, platforms, and languages. Experience developing, integrating, testing, and deploying cloud-based software solutions or internetrelated tools. Experience developing microservices and in-depth knowledge of integration patterns. Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred: 4+ years of experience with Oracle Financials Cloud across additional modules such as Accounting Hub, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.4+ years of hands-on experience implementing Oracle Cloud solutions in the financial domain, with extensive experience in configuration, testing, and support. Experience with HighRadius. Basic knowledge of AI agents. Oracle Cloud certification(s).Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or equivalent certification. Other: This role is fully onsite at our client’s global headquarters in downtown Cleveland, OH; it is not remote or hybrid. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and business teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ownership of solutions from design through support. Must be at least 18 years of age. This role involves access to confidential and proprietary information; a criminal background check is required.
