About the role

Now Hiring: Chef de Cuisine / Executive Sous Chef📍 Washington, DC / Northern Virginia💰 $90,000–$100,000 annually plus benefits and bonus in some cases. We’re seeking a talented culinary leader with an elevated dining background, a meticulous eye for detail, and the financial acumen to lead a successful kitchen. The ideal candidate combines thoughtful menu development with precise execution, bringing consistency to every plate and confident, supportive leadership to every service.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in fine dining or elevated, chef-driven restaurants
Strong menu-writing skills, including seasonal development, recipe testing, costing, and presentation
Excellent culinary technique and high standards for flavor, plating, timing, and consistency
Experience reading and interpreting a P&L, with the ability to translate financial results into decisions about food costs, labor, purchasing, and profitability
Disciplined inventory management, waste reduction, and vendor relationships
Hands-on leadership with a commitment to training, mentoring, and developing a strong culinary team
Clear communication with front-of-house leadership to coordinate pacing, dietary accommodations, and a seamless guest experience
Composure during demanding services and the ability to address challenges while maintaining quality and professionalism
