Senior Pre-Sales Infrastructure / Network Design Engineer Hybrid 3 days onsite in either New York, NY or Lake Mary, FLOur client seeks a Senior Pre-Sales Infrastructure / Network Design Engineer to act as a technical subject matter expert for connectivity initiatives across external clients, vendors, and internal technology teams. You will gather requirements, design end-to-end connectivity solutions, and remain engaged through implementation and troubleshooting. The role requires expertise in network connectivity, extranets, and DMZ environments, along with strong client-facing communication skills and broad infrastructure knowledge. We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical infrastructure and connectivity SME from project initiation through implementation. Meet with internal application and technology teams to understand business, application, and connectivity requirements. Engage directly with clients, vendors, and external partners to understand technical requirements and existing infrastructure capabilities. Evaluate and design connectivity solutions utilizing B2B VPNs, circuits, and third-party network providers. Develop end-to-end infrastructure and connectivity designs that address internal application needs and external client environments. Coordinate with internal technology teams responsible for services such as MQ and file transfer. Provide technical designs and requirements to engineering and deployment teams for implementation. Maintain technical involvement throughout the project lifecycle to provide guidance and subject matter expertise. Support troubleshooting during new implementations, connectivity changes, and production issues. Understand how network, infrastructure, web-based applications, messaging, and file transfer components interact from a connectivity perspective.
Experience Requirements:
Strong experience with enterprise network connectivity and infrastructure design.
Deep understanding of extranet and DMZ architectures.
Experience designing connectivity between enterprise environments and external clients, vendors, or third parties.
Strong understanding of B2B VPN connectivity, network circuits, and third-party network connectivity.
Working knowledge of MQ within enterprise connectivity architectures.
Experience with various file transfer protocols and technologies.
Understanding of web-based applications from an infrastructure and network connectivity perspective.
Broad understanding of enterprise infrastructure beyond traditional network engineering.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities for infrastructure and connectivity issues.
Ability to develop end-to-end technical designs and communicate those designs to engineering and deployment teams.
Strong client-facing communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
