Anesthesiology Physician Board Certified / Board Eligible
Location: Salem, VA 24153
Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PMPosition Overview
Seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiology Physician to provide comprehensive anesthesia and perioperative care in a hospital setting. The physician will provide direct patient care, surgical anesthesia, pain management, consultations, and emergency airway management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide anesthesia services for cardiac, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, ENT, urologic, ophthalmologic, and other surgical procedures.
- Provide anesthesia coverage for ECT, cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology, GI, and radiology procedures.
- Support SICU, short-stay, acute/chronic pain management, TEE, and emergency airway services.
- Perform patient consultations and provide appropriate pre- and post-procedure care.
- Provide discharge education, follow-up instructions, and coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in scheduled on-call/standby coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).
- Current, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Minimum 2 years of anesthesiology experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Current NPI and DEA registration.
- Verifiable education, training, licensure, certifications, and professional experience.
