Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Ophthalmologist to serve as Medical Director for its hospital-employed ophthalmology practice in Rutland, Vermont. This leadership opportunity allows a physician to provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care while guiding the growth of a high-volume service line. Practice Info Busy hospital-employed ophthalmology practice Established team including an additional Ophthalmologist, Optometrist, and Certified Ophthalmic Assistants State-of-the-art procedure center Dedicated OR block time to support high surgical volumes Updated operating room equipment Dynamic and collaborative practice environment
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive ophthalmology services in both clinical and surgical settings Serve as Medical Director for the ophthalmology practice Collaborate with physicians, advanced clinical staff, and hospital leadership Perform surgical procedures in a state-of-the-art procedure center Participate in a shared call rotation Support quality initiatives and program development within the ophthalmology service line Deliver patient-centered care to communities throughout central and southern Vermont Compensation Competitive base salary Productivity incentive opportunity Signing bonus

Requirements:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board Certified or Board Eligible in Ophthalmology Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Vermont Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care Interest in practice development and physician leadership
