Overview
In this role you will oversee a large PMO contract for a US government client, guiding strategic direction and program execution. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team of over 70 people to deliver results in a fast-paced environment while aligning with client executives and mission goals. You will apply best practices and governance frameworks to shape plans, performance, and risk management across the program. This position offers the opportunity to influence high-impact programs at executive levels and contribute to mission-critical outcomes. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to enable scalable, compliant program delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities Lead and mentor a large, multi-disciplinary team (70+ staff) to achieve program objectives Develop and direct strategies and plans using industry best practices and governance frameworks Provide strategic advisory support to client executives and program staff Oversee performance planning, risk management, and issue resolution across the program Coordinate with sub-contractors and matrixed stakeholders to ensure timely delivery Promote the client’s mission and ensure work aligns with strategic direction Support process methodologies development and implementation at executive level Leverage Share Point and Microsoft tools to manage program development and documentation
Key requirementsMA/MS with 10 years of experience or Bachelor with 15 years of experience Experience managing an executive-level PMOExperience working with Sr. client executives and diverse governmental stakeholders (federal, state, local, tribal)Ability to develop and implement process methodologies for executive programs Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCIExperience providing strategic advice, technical guidance, and data-driven recommendations Proven ability to manage a large, matrixed, remote workforce (including sub-contracts)Experience with Share Point administration and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Project)PMI-PMP or equivalent certification Desirable: SAFe Agile or SCRUMleadershipstrategic thinkingstakeholder managementPM best practicesprogram management methodologies Share Point administration
