Responsibilities:
Coordinateandcompletetheresidentassessmentprocess(MDS/RAI)inaccordancewithfederalandstateregulations.
EnsureaccurateandtimelycompletionofallMDSassessmentsandsupportingdocumentation.
Maintaincompliancewith Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, andotherapplicablepayerrequirements.
Workwithinterdisciplinaryteammemberstodevelopandmaintaincomprehensiveresidentcareplans.
Performconcurrentreviewsandcommunicatewithinsuranceprovidersandotherstakeholderstoobtainandmaintainskilledcareauthorization.
Monitor QualityMeasures(QM)and QualityIndicators(QI), identifytrends, andassistwithperformanceimprovementinitiatives.
MaintainandupdatepoliciesandproceduresrelatedtotheMDSandRAIprocess.
Participateinstatesurveysandregulatoryinspections, providingdocumentationandsupportasneeded.
StaycurrentonregulatorychangesandensureongoingcompliancewithMDSguidelinesandbestpractices.
Qualifications:
CurrentRNorLPNlicenseintheStateofMaryland.
RNACorLPNACcertificationpreferred, orrelevantMDSexperience.
StrongknowledgeoftheMDS3.0process, RAIManual, Medicare, Medicaid, andOBRAregulations(preferred)
Excellentorganizational, communication, andcriticalthinkingskills.
Previousexperienceinaskillednursingorlong-termcaresetting(preferred).
