About the role

Job TitleUp to 15 hours per week.
Qualifications:
  • Must have a valid and current Arizona Driver license and ability to be adequately insured
  • Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1968.
  • Must be able to pass a fingerprint clearance and background check or maintain a current IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • CPR & First Aid Certification
Essential Functions:
  • Transports students and staff safely to and from schools and other district facilities
  • Responsible for the care of assigned vehicle (including daily pre-operation, post-operation, and periodic inspections), cleans and sweeps vehicle's interior, fuels vehicle, and reports all defects or non-operational findings
  • Follows established procedures and schedules to pick up and deliver passengers
  • Maintains daily mileage and logs as required
  • Obeys all traffic laws and observes all mandatory safety regulations Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Ability to use two-way communication equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
  • Ability to work cooperatively and courteously with staff, students, parents and community members
  • Ability to handle confrontation and conflict without an emotional response. Education And/Or Experience
  • At least three years of driving experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent
