Territory Outside Sales Representative – Construction & Agricultural Equipment Rental

Papé Machinery Inc. is seeking a Rental Territory Manager to drive equipment rental growth across an assigned territory. In this customer-facing role, you’ll build relationships with contractors, farmers, and industrial clients, matching their needs with our industry-leading agricultural, construction, forestry, and landscaping equipment. Responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, managing existing customers, negotiating rental agreements, and optimizing fleet utilization and profitability. You’ll partner with service and parts teams to ensure reliable equipment performance and uphold Papé’s safety standards, integrity, and family-owned culture while developing a long-term career in the equipment industry. Manage an assigned rental territory for agricultural, construction, and forestry equipment Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, farmers, and industrial customers Prospect, cold call, and follow up on leads to grow the rental customer base Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate rental equipment solutions Coordinate rental contracts, pricing, and terms in line with company policies Work closely with service and parts teams to ensure equipment readiness and uptime Monitor fleet utilization, turnover, and profitability within the territory Prepare sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback for management Represent Papé Machinery at customer sites, industry events, and trade functions Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards on all rentals Territory management B2B sales Equipment rental operations Customer relationship management (CRM) Negotiation and contract management Heavy equipment product knowledge Market research and prospecting Fleet utilization analysis Sales forecasting and reporting Safety and regulatory compliance Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid driver’s license with clean driving record OSHA or equipment safety training preferred Sales or account management training/certifications a plus
