Corporate Accounting Analyst We are partnering with a leading global industrial organization to recruit a Corporate Accounting Analyst for its corporate headquarters in Danbury, CT.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong public accounting background who is looking to transition into industry, or someone with a combination of public accounting and corporate experience. The role provides broad exposure across global accounting, consolidation, reporting and external financial reporting.
The Role:
- Perform monthly global consolidation and reporting activities
- Manage consolidation entries, account analysis and intercompany validation
- Prepare equity rollforwards and analyze monthly derivatives entries
- Support quarterly and annual external financial reporting in accordance with US GAAPCoordinate accounting and reporting activities across global teams
- Partner with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Technical Accounting and business units
- Maintain compliance with SOX controls and supporting documentation
- Support internal and external audits
- Assist with government reporting requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting and reporting processes
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting3–4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Public accounting experience or a combination of public accounting and corporate/industry experienceCPA and/or MBA strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAPAdvanced Excel skills
- Experience with Workiva, Hyperion, JDE and/or SAP is advantageous
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
