Global fashion retail client is seeking an Associate Manager, Product Development & Production to support the end-to-end product development and production process from seasonal concept through manufacturing. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams and global sourcing partners to ensure products are developed on time, meet quality standards, align with brand vision, and achieve financial objectives. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support seasonal product development and production activities in alignment with sourcing and financial goals. Assist in achieving seasonal IMU (Initial Markup) targets through cost analysis and sourcing support. Partner with management to establish target costs and support vendor negotiations. Coordinate with vendors and overseas offices to ensure timely development and production execution. Create and maintain style numbers and product information within sourcing systems. Manage purchase order creation and revisions through SAP.Request, track, and manage all development, fit, marketing, and production samples. Coordinate development testing and monitor sample progress throughout the product lifecycle. Assist with bulk fabric commitments and pre-classification processes. Maintain seasonal reporting, recap charts, and sourcing documentation. Attend fit meetings and collaborate with design, merchandising, technical design, and production partners. Build strong working relationships across cross-functional teams and external partners. Support special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.2-3 years of experience in product development, sourcing, production, or a related apparel industry function. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Collaborative team player with strong relationship-building skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel. Experience with SAP or product lifecycle management systems is a plus. Willingness to travel seasonally as required.
