AI Engineering Intern (unpaid)

Position Summary: We are seeking a creative and technically driven AI Engineer to build intuitive, high-quality technology for our next-generation AI products. You will: Prototype, build, and deploy AI features using LLMs, APIs, and agent workflows. Develop backend services and integrations that turn prototypes into usable products. Evaluate output quality, reliability, latency, and cost. Improve features based on user feedback and usage data.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy responsive, premium user interfaces for AI-powered web applications. Build intuitive visualization components that allow users to understand complex data scopes, memory layers, and AI context. Develop robust human-in-the-loop workflows (e.g., approval and redaction screens for data promotion).Integrate real-time, streaming API endpoints to handle LLM responses smoothly without UI degradation. Collaborate with backend engineers and product leadership to ensure a seamless end-to-end user experience. Participate in UI/UX design discussions, code reviews, and rapid prototyping for the alpha launch. Maintain clean, documented, and reusable component libraries.

Required: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction or a related technical field. Strong Python skills and experience with LLM APIs, databases, and cloud deployment. Experience on projects where AI is central to the product, with experience launching to real users and iterating after release Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and modern CSS.Experience with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, or Vue).Familiarity with Git/GitHub and REST API integration.

Preferred: Familiarity with state management in complex web applications. Understanding of how users interact with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI Agents.
