As a remote Principal Threat Researcher, the successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on adversary behavior, dissecting and replicating sophisticated cyber attack techniques while translating complex research into actionable detection recommendations that drive engineering efforts and product strategy.
Key responsibilities:
Scope and refine research initiatives to analyze emerging attack techniques and customer impact across various operating systems and major Cloud/SaaS providers
Dive deep into technical components and detection optics of specific threats to understand adversary control and manipulation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new detection methodologies and document research findings for internal and external audiences
Required qualifications:
Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience with AI-driven security solutions
12+ years of experience in security research with actionable outcomes
Extensive security expertise in at least one operating system and experience with commercial Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) platforms
Security experience with at least one cloud service provider and cloud-based detection platforms
Software development experience in at least one scripting language and one compiled/assembled language
