About the role

Job Description: We are partnering with a to client in the search for some IT Inventory Specialists to support a large-scale technology asset inventory initiative across multiple locations. In this role, you will perform onsite inventories of end-user technology assets, ensuring accurate documentation of devices, peripherals, locations, floor plans, and network-related information. This project encompasses approximately 80,000 technology assets across 69 locations, including desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, tablets, and other peripheral equipment. The data collected will help establish a standardized asset inventory, improve asset visibility, and identify discrepancies, missing equipment, and record inconsistencies.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct onsite physical inventories of technology assets using established processes, procedures, and quality standards. Locate, identify, scan, and document desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and associated peripherals. Capture and maintain accurate information related to asset details, physical locations, floor plans, and available network data. Utilize project-provided tools, including laptops, barcode scanners, inventory software, and documentation templates, to record inventory data. Verify asset information and assist with identifying missing assets, duplicate records, and inventory discrepancies. Complete assigned inventory activities within designated departments, facilities, and locations according to project timelines. Follow quality assurance procedures to ensure all inventory data is complete, accurate, and properly documented. Escalate access issues, documentation concerns, technical challenges, or other roadblocks to the Inventory Lead. Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach while interacting with employees, clinicians, patients, and operational staff. Work efficiently in active healthcare environments while minimizing disruption to daily operations. Participate in team meetings, daily standups, and project status updates as needed. Support follow-up visits and validation efforts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Required Skills & Experience: Experience with IT asset management, technology inventory, or inventory control processes. Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity. Experience working with asset tracking or inventory management systems such as Service Now. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain consistent documentation standards. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while meeting productivity goals. Proficiency with computers, mobile devices, barcode scanners, and related technology tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL 60612.
Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
