Athletic Trainer
Job Summary: Responsible for delivery of Athletic Training Care in accordance with NATA (National Athletic Trainer's Association) standards as well as Tennessee and/or Georgia Athletic Training Practice Acts. Standard responsibilities include: prevention, evaluation, treatment and referral of athletic related injuries. Work settings include one or more of the following: High School Outreach settings and College settings. This position is involved in a team-based approach to care. Team members are trained to meet the highest level of function for their role as per the State of Tennessee/Georgia guidelines. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to coordinate care for patients and is trained and assigned to support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy and behavior change. Is trained and assigned (as per their role and responsibilities) to manage the practices patient population. Participates in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation.
Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Master's Degree in Athletic Training or related field. Graduate of NATA approved curriculum educational program
Experience: Required: Two years in clinical/collegiate/outreach setting. NATA Membership Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration Required: - BOC Certification - Current license or temporary license to practice in the state of TN or GA. - BLS as required by BOC and state licensure.
