POSITION SUMMARY: The Asst Laundry Master assists the management onboard to ensure company, divisional and ship performance objectives set forth by the company are met and/or exceeded by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities personally. REQUIREMENTS: Age 18+ Recruitment is conducted from the following countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan. Fluency in Russian is mandatory Knowledge of English - from intermediate depending on the position (knowledge of English is pre-intermediate for basic positions, fluency in both Russian and English is required for higher and administrative positions) A full package of STCW certificates and a seafarer's passport/seafarer's identity card are required. Five or more year’s experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship in managing large laundry operations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong management skills in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work well under pressure and in a constantly challenging environment. Must be able to oversee and provide quality laundry service for a large passenger vessel that can include from 600 to 1,000+ accommodations for guests and crew. Must be able to efficiently organize and supervise a laundry staff of up to 10 persons.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by delivering quality guest services and amenities within company’s standards. Establishes and maintains effective internal communications including attending regular departmental meetings to ensure optimum scheduling, teamwork and productivity. Continually encourages communication and cooperation between all sub-hotel departments, deck and technical departments. Keeps the Laundry Master informed of all activities and pending issues that require cooperation or immediate attention such as equipment maintenance, etc… Ensures that all washing machines and laundry equipment are well maintained and in good repair. Takes prompt action in reporting deficiencies to the appropriate department. Ensures the security and safety of guests and staff through established emergency procedures. Ensures the highest level of compliance with all SHIP-SAN standards including proper garbage and chemicals handling & disposal procedures. Assists the Laundry Master in keeping the linen monthly inventories and monitor working practices to minimize wastage, breakages, losses and damages. Enforce best practices for proper inventory and stock control by checking that all cabins and public areas are provided with the necessary linen. Ensures that the amount of linen necessary to run the operation is always kept up to par level by complying with the company’s ordering schedules and procedures. etc. The number of spots is limited!
