Senior Project Manager – Finance Transformation
Location: Urbandale, IA – Hybrid
Schedule: Monday–Wednesday onsite with flexibility
Duration: 18-month contract
Compensation: $140,000–$150,000 annualized
Contract-to-Hire: Potential for conversion Start: ASAP No C2C or Candidates who need Sponsorship The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale Finance transformation program within a complex, global organization. This is a highly visible role working across people, process, technology, and operating model transformation. The Senior Project Manager will own and support key workstreams, maintain detailed project plans, drive accountability across teams, and provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior Finance leadership. The ideal candidate combines a strong Finance background with hands-on project management experience and is comfortable leading meetings and working directly with senior executives.
What You’ll Do: Manage multiple workstreams within a large Finance transformation program. Develop, maintain, and drive detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables. Keep projects on track by proactively identifying risks, issues, and potential roadblocks. Lead project meetings, develop effective agendas, ask the right questions, document decisions, and drive follow-up actions. Prepare regular project status reports and executive-level updates. Coordinate direct and indirect resources across geographically dispersed teams. Partner with Finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to drive decisions and resolve issues. Develop project documentation including business cases, assessments, communication plans, implementation plans, and migration schedules. Support transformation initiatives involving people, process, technology, and real estate. Manage project controls, change management, risk mitigation, and escalation processes. Help translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and ensure execution through completion.
What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree required.5+ years of Project Management experience. Finance, Accounting, Financial Services, or Finance Transformation experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated success managing large, complex projects or transformation initiatives. Experience developing and managing detailed project plans and executive status reporting. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and dependencies simultaneously. Experience working within a large, complex or geographically dispersed organization is highly desirable.
