About the role
Our Little Butterfly A non profit organization dedicated to bringing performing arts to little girls with Autism. Autism Dance Program Volunteer Skills & Qualifications Volunteer Assistants(Helpers who support dancers during class and performances)

Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support
- Assist with transitions between activities
- Model dance movements when needed
- Help maintain a safe and positive environment
- Encourage participation and social interaction
- Support sensory and behavioral needs under staff guidance
- Assist during performances, rehearsals, and special events⸻Dance Teacher Volunteers(Instructors leading dance classes)
Desired Skills:
- Dance training and teaching experience
- Ability to modify instruction for varying abilities
- Strong classroom management skills
- Creativity and flexibility in lesson planning
- Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication
- Patience and empathy
- Positive behavior support skills
- Ability to build confidence and self-esteem in students
- Understanding of inclusive teaching practices
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience Preferred
- Dance teaching experience
- Experience teaching childrenExperience working with individuals with autism or disabilities
- Background in dance education, special education, occupational therapy, recreation, or performing arts
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach inclusive dance classes
- Adapt choreography for different skill levels
- Create a supportive, sensory-friendly environment
- Collaborate with volunteers and families
- Foster creativity, confidence, and self-expression
- Monitor student progress and engagement
