APPLY NOWAbout the role
Fleet Integration Manager, Surface Maritime Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting‑edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fleet Integration Manager to join our maritime team. This is a dual-hatted role: you will perform test engineering duties and lead fleet integration efforts, bringing hands‑on at‑sea operating experience into both. You will work closely with program leadership and across engineering, operations, and business development to build a team focused on solving hard problems and changing the industry. Join our team and help build the next generation of surface platforms that redefine maritime operations.
Our team conducts full system‑level development testing, new production acceptance testing, sub‑component qualification testing, and more. If it involves test, we support it. If you want to work in an innovative, fast‑paced environment where your work directly shapes the products we field, this is a fantastic opportunity.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Testing and fleet integration are the same problem seen from two angles. A test plan written without fleet operating experience misses the failure modes, workflows, and edge cases that matter at sea. In this role, you’ll apply that experience directly: time spent operating unmanned or manned surface vessels in real conditions, translated into test plans, demonstration events, and exercises that reflect how the fleet actually operates.
You also serve as the bridge between the engineering team and the fleet. You identify gaps between our platforms and existing fleet procedures, equipment, and concepts of employment, and feed that insight back into design and test planning. You represent the operator’s perspective in design reviews and requirements discussions, and support direct engagement with fleet units and customers during integration, test, and demonstration events.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Support the integration of surface platform subsystems, including sensors, navigation, propulsion, communication systems, autonomy software, and power systems, into a complete surface platform
Develop, review, and execute test plans for development, integration, and acceptance testing, informed by hands‑on fleet operating experience
Support day‑to‑day test operations, including pre‑mission testing, launch and recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis for internal and customer‑facing efforts
Design test and demonstration scenarios that reflect real fleet operating conditions, procedures, and tactics
Identify gaps between platform capability and existing fleet equipment, procedures, and concepts of employment, and feed findings back to engineering and program leadership
Support hands‑on troubleshooting, repair, operation, and maintenance of surface maritime platforms in the field
Author and/or review detailed test reports documenting internal and customer‑facing test and evaluation efforts
Support local and offshore sea testing and operations, including multi‑day offshore operations
Set up, collect, and refine operational metrics for test and fleet performance
Participate in design reviews, requirements analysis, and system verification planning, representing the operator’s perspective
Collaborate with fleet units, external partners, and customers during integration and test, cataloging their requirements and supporting payload and system integration into the overall mission lifecycle
Support configuration control, version control, documentation, and safety processes across land‑and sea‑based test and integration efforts, including extended hours as required
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including multi‑day offshore operations, with potential for more during key test campaigns and fleet integration events
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience operating unmanned or manned surface vessels at sea, with demonstrated ability to translate that experience into realistic test and demonstration scenarios, ideally as a recent Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) in the United States Navy
Familiarity with concepts of mechanical engineering, software development and testing, electrical engineering, and control theory
Experience in field test and/or operationally focused environments
Knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and ability to use basic test equipment
Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings and specifications
Extremely organized and detail‑oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effective across technical and non‑technical audiences
A sincere commitment to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture
High ownership and a bias toward action
Ability to travel up to 50% of your time, with potential for more during key test campaigns and fleet integration events
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
In this role, you will be subject to pre‑employment and randomized substance screening, as required by the Company.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience integrating surface and airborne sensors, surface vessel navigation, and communication systems
A genuine interest and 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, integration, and test
Experience generating TRRs, test plans, test procedures, and test reports
Demonstrated experience with marine operational procedures and equipment, spanning coastal to deep‑water operations
Experience briefing customers, partners, or fleet stakeholders on emerging capabilities
Proficiency in data analysis tools: Python, MATLAB, R, SQL
Experience developing and managing a test and evaluation program
Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance
