About the role

Job Description: River City Transport is hiring full-time CDL A OTR Dry Van Drivers Nationwide. At River City Transport, drivers aren't an afterthought — they're the backbone of everything we do. Compensation: Average weekly pay range: $1,800 - $2,50060 - 67 CPM experience based rate Average weekly miles: 3,000+All miles paid, loaded & unloaded Additional Pay:
  • Breakdown Pay: $150 per day if no replacement unit is available
  • Layover Pay: $150 Detention Pay: $25 per hour after 2 free hours
  • Extra holiday pay: $150 incentive for driving on a holiday (8 holidays per year)
  • Clean level 1 inspection report: $100 Bonuses:
Sign-on bonus: $1,500 ($500 paid on first check, $1,000 paid after 6 months)
Referral bonus: $1,500 paid in increments over 1 year
Quarterly Safety Bonus: $250 - $1,000 Safe driving (no accidents or infractions)100% On time deliveries & pick ups Paid weekly via direct deposit

Paid Time Off:

Home time: 1 day home for each week on the road
Drivers in the following locations may get home more often: Dubuque IA, Indianapolis IN, Kansas City KS, Madison WI, Lancaster PA, Reno NV
Schedule: On the road 4 - 6+ weeks at a time
Route: OTR 48 states
Level of Touch: 100% No-touch freight, 70% drop & hook
Equipment: 2022 - 2027 Freightliner & International Sleeper Trucks
Automatic transmission fleet Amenities: Refrigerators, XM radio, new mattresses, heated & cooled seats Governed Speed: 70 MPHOutward cameras, event triggeredELD equipped using Samsara system
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 23 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have a minimum of 2 year verifiable commercial tractor-trailer driving experience
  • No DUI's or felony driving convictions in the last 5 yearsNo major violations in the last 3 yearsNo more than 3 minor violations in the last 3 years
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Must be able to pass a background check and required pre-employment drug screen
