About the role

CDW is seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join our national wireless team on a 6 month contract to hire basis. The Wireless Network Engineer will be working hybrid remote and performing onsite customer visits to clients in the greater Chicago area. The ideal candidate will have deep wireless networking expertise, strong hands-on experience with HP Aruba wireless technologies, and proficiency with Ekahau for wireless site surveys. Cisco wireless experience may be considered if strong Aruba candidates are not available.
Key Responsibilities: Support wireless networking environments as a senior-level engineer. Perform and support wireless site surveys using Ekahau. Design, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise wireless environments. Work extensively with HP Aruba wireless technologies. Support both wireless infrastructure and the associated central management platform. Collaborate with members of a nationally distributed wireless team.
Required Qualifications: Senior-level wireless network engineering experience. Strong Ekahau experience, particularly wireless site surveys. Strong HP Aruba wireless background. Experience with wireless central management platforms. Ability to travel locally and be within driving distance of Chicago.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong Cisco wireless experience may be considered as an alternative to Aruba expertise. Experience supporting large or geographically distributed wireless environments.
