Senior Database Developer

Overview In this role you will design and build a scalable Oracle-centered data platform for fixed income portfolio analytics, collaborating with business and tech stakeholders. You’ll implement efficient relational models, PLSQL procedures, and ETL processes to support data-intensive computations across a distributed system. You will help ensure high code quality, testing, and performance tuning while aligning with agile delivery. Responsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to define functional and technical design Design and implement data solutions with the software engineering team Create physical relational data models on Oracle and optimize performance Develop PLSQL procedures for Oracle and PostgreSQLDevelop and maintain data used by systems Collaborate to optimize Oracle access from Java Triage and remediate system and performance issues Lead or participate in Agile projects Load large volumes of data efficiently Create system and training documentation Provide technical support and subject matter expertise Work flexible hours to meet project timelines Key requirements 7+ years of Oracle database development experience Strong knowledge of Oracle features: normal forms, partitions, constraints, indexing, performance tuning, execution plans, PLSQL, monitoring tools, locking, deadlocks Experience in ETL development and automation Proficiency in scripting languages Basic understanding of Java and Python (plus)Experience with Linux and Windows Experience in cloud environments such as AWS (desirable)Excellent communication and teamwork Self-starter, motivated, accountable Agile development experiencecommunicationteam collaborationproblem-solving Oracle database designPL/SQLdata modeling
