Tech Dialysis

Job Summary: Responsible for delivering specialized dialysis patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Ensures safe and effective dialysis treatments while maintaining compliance with infection control and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities: Operate and monitor dialysis equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to infection prevention protocols. Assess patient status by measuring vital signs, recording treatment data, and performing patient assessments. Set up and clean treatment stations, including machine preparation and post-treatment sanitation. Cannulate vascular access, administer treatments, and manage catheter care, including flushing and heparinization. Conduct water, dialysate, and machine safety checks; collect and document water and dialysate samples for testing. Maintain accurate documentation of equipment maintenance, treatment records, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications: Hold current dialysis certification and CPR/BLS certification. Demonstrate technical proficiency in operating dialysis equipment and maintaining water systems. Possess strong assessment skills, including vital signs and lab specimen collection. Display effective communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
