Description: American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a community hospital OR position requiring 2-3 years of periop experience and Da Vinci Xi robot proficiency. Details Community hospital setting in a 108-bed short-term acute care facility General OR with block scheduling required1:1 patient ratio Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PMOn-call required on average 1 day per week and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule No floating between units Epic EMR used
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of periop surgical technologist experience requiredBLS certification requiredNBSTSA certification required
  • Da Vinci Xi Robot experience required
  • Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission (license required if applicable)
  • Confidence required in ortho (totals, spine, trauma), urology, GYN, uro-GYN, vascular, general, neuro spine, and some ENT specialties
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Mako Surgical System experience preferred
  • Experience with colorectal, gastrointestinal, gynecologic, orthopedic, and urologic robotic surgery a plus
  • Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
  • Full SSN and DOB required for submission
Additional Information:
  • Support surgical procedures across multiple specialties including orthopedics, urology, gynecology, vascular, general surgery, neuro spine, and ENTUtilize robotic surgical systems including Da Vinci Xi and MakoScrubs provided for OR staff; any color accepted
  • No parking fee at this facility
  • Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)RTO requests must be submitted upfront; limited flexibility for post-offer schedule changes
  • May be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location
  • First-time travelers considered for this position
  • Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a lower bill rate
  • Former employees may return after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
  • Candidates must disclose any prior work history at Providence facilities as permanent staff, traveler, or per-diem
