Senior Developer (f/m/d) - Industry AI Utilities (Metering) / St. Ingbert

Overview In this role you design and lead AI-native, scalable metering solutions for the German utilities market, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement legal requirements and ensure reliable operation. You will shape architecture for AI pipelines, multi-agent workflows, and efficient cloud systems, while aligning with regulatory needs and customer requests. Responsibilities Design scalable, AI-native application systems and fcomponents with advanced RAG pipelines and multi-agent frameworks Lead development to implement regulatory requirements from German Federal Network Agency in the existing solution Analyze complex customer issues and implement solutions to ensure smooth operation Optimize latency, throughput, and cost efficiency across distributed systems Collaborate with platform, data, and AI teams to build robust, production-ready solutions Architect solutions with focus on system resilience, availability, and maintainability Oversee lifecycle of intelligent metering solutions (iMS) and related devices Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the development team Key requirements Distributed systems and scalable design Hands-on with LLMs, advanced RAG patterns, and agentic workflows Performance optimization and cost management Proficiency in system design for scale, resiliency, and fault tolerance Replacing agentic engineering patterns in practice Technical leadership and mentoring abilities Rich experience in ABAP development including ABAP objects, RAP and BOPFUI5 Fiori know-how and SAP Web Services (beneficial)German language proficiency at C1 level Industry experience in utilities or knowledge of metering, EDM is a plus Experience with metering processes and device management is a plustechnical leadershipmentoringcross-functional collaborationABAP developmentABAP ObjectsRAP
