Dold FoodsPay Ranges: $18.00-$25.25SUMMARY OF JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:Responsible for managing the day-to-day Cost Accounting functions, including but not limited to: Daily production entry review, analysis, and reconciliation (which includes investigating variances) Includes managing in-tran locations and shipments to other plants and warehousesDaily review of costing and inventory exception reportsIncludes working with team members and applications to maintain accurate inventoriesGeneral LedgerIncludes reporting and explaining product lossesInventory balancing/reconciliation, including period closeCreating journal entries as neededCreating and distributing Accounting reports as necessary. i.e. yield reporting, product write-offs, etc. Responsible for AP tasks that include researching and approving invoices as they relate to receipts of raw materials, packages, ingredients, along with other recurring/annual type servicesMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:Prior accounting experience, preferably Cost AccountingAbility to think critically and logicallyProven ability to work cross functionally to achieve desired outcomes, including working with management staffDemonstrated pattern of initiativeDemonstrated excellent pattern of attendance reliabilityExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient with use of computers, including Microsoft Office (excel, email, etc)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Oracle Financials, or other AP related systemExperience with QAD, or other related Cost Accounting systemExperience with perpetual inventory systemsExperience working in a food manufacturing or related environmentHormel Foods Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
