Job Description:
Manager/Director, Production & Manufacturing LeadAutonomous Vehicle Navigation 160-195k + benefits Company in Houston, TXDescriptionOversee and optimize retrofittingand manufacturing processes for autonomous vehicles. Define, implement, and manageend-to-end manufacturing workflows to ensure efficiency, quality, andscalability. Develop and optimize workflows, work instructions, and quality standards. Manage production schedules, resource allocation, and team coordination. Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams for continuous improvement. Oversee vendor and suppliercoordination for materials, tools, and equipment. Establish process controlmechanisms and KPIs to track production efficiency and quality. Lead troubleshooting andproblem-solving initiatives. Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and compliance standards. Provide technical leadership invehicle modification, assembly, and validation. Support new product introductionwith scalable manufacturing strategies.
Requirements:
QualificationsBachelor's or master's degree in MechanicalEngineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, AutomotiveEngineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in vehicleretrofitting, prototype development, production, or manufacturing withinthe automotive, commercial vehicles, or mobility industry. Strong understanding ofretrofitting processes, vehicle assembly, quality control, and leanmanufacturing principles. Experience in designing andoptimizing production workflows. Proven ability to manageproduction planning, scheduling, and resource allocation. Hands-on experience in supplierand vendor management and IQC process. Good understanding of PFMEA andproblem-solving skills. Proficiency in manufacturingsoftware/tools such as ERP/MES systems. Ability to create training plansand lead technician training. Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
