Carlin - Underground Safety & Health Training Supervisor

Overview As Training Supervisor in the Carlin Underground Division, you drive safety-focused training and competency across the mine site. You lead and mentor trainees, coordinating with operations and maintenance to achieve safe, efficient production. You design and implement training programs, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with MSHA requirements. You partner with cross-functional teams to standardize procedures and improve performance, contributing to a sustainable, technologically evolving mining operation. Compensation / Benefitsbonusesbenefitsstock purchase plansopportunity to make a differencedynamic, collaborative teamcareer growth opportunities Responsibilities Direct supervision, mentoring, and coaching of trainees Lead the training plan to support safe, environmentally sound, and efficient production Coordinate training with peers, operations, maintenance, and support teams Coach in the field to meet safety and training expectations Develop and implement competency-based training programs Maintain site compliance and ensure employees have required skills and knowledge Create and manage accurate training records per MSHA regulations Conduct training observations with operating departments Develop course outlines and instructional methods Audit training materials and programs for continuous improvement Plan and schedule Annual Refresher Training for all employees Facilitate site-specific training for new and experienced miners, hazards, and tasks Participate in alignment of site initiatives or mandates Perform other duties as assigned Key requirementsMSHA Instructor Certification (blue card) preferred Five years of underground mining and heavy equipment experience with leadership demonstrated Experience working with peer groups and focus teams Ability to drive results and meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication Strong leadership and influencing skills Promote safety in training and lead by example Computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook preferred Proven safe work record Leadership Communication Collaboration Competency-Based Training systems Training program developmentMSHA regulations and recordkeeping
