About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Critical Care Medicine Physician for an 8-day assignment in Florida. The role involves specific blocks of 7a-7a shifts, including 24-hour call coverage with in-house rounding during the day and out-of-house call at night. You will be instrumental in managing a closed ICU within a Trauma Center, performing essential critical care procedures such as intubations, central lines, and arterial lines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide 24-hour call coverage, including both in-house rounding and out-of-house call. Conduct in-house rounding and consults from 7A-7P, assisting APPs as needed. Provide out-of-house call coverage from 7P-7A. Manage patients within a closed unit, a ICU within a Trauma Center. Perform typical critical care procedures, including intubations, central lines, and arterial lines. Additional Information Required Board Certifications: Critical Care Medicine Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

Cerner Setting: Inpatient Call Schedule: Out of House Call, 24-hour call responsibilities Patients per day: 5-7 LOA: 8 Days Staffing Mix: Solo provider on some days or nights, with new APPs in training during most days. Nights are typically solo. Trauma is handled separately at another location. The facility features a 24/7 emergency room and a Trauma Center.
