Legal Counsel – Residential Real Estate - Houston

Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day legal support across the company's residential development and homebuilding operations. Draft, review and negotiatereal estate, development, construction and commercial agreements. Supportland acquisitions, dispositions and development transactions. Advise on title, easements, restrictive covenants and other property-related matters. Work closely with land acquisition, development, construction and senior business teams. Identify and manage legal and commercial risks associated with development projects. Support negotiations with landowners, developers, contractors and other counterparties. Manage transactions independently and coordinate with external counsel where required. Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business. Experience Strong background inreal estate, residential development, construction or homebuilding. Experience handlingland acquisition and development transactions. Strong drafting and negotiation experience across complex real estate and commercial agreements. Understanding of the legal issues involved inlarge-scale residential development projects. Experience within a leading law firm and/or sophisticated in-house real estate environment. Comfortable working directly with commercial and operational stakeholders. Able to manage transactions and legal matters independently. JD and relevant US bar admission.
