Shrink Conversion Worker-1st Shift (40731)

Basic Responsibilities: Safe and efficient operation of production machinery including Seamers, Slitters, Rewinders, and Core Cutters.

Specific Responsibilities: Prepares production supplies including boxes and cores. Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery. Conducts general set up of production machinery. Installs plates, rollers, guides, blades, and related equipment on machinery. Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements. Enters tolerances and parameters into machine computer. Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine. Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift. Routinely checks product samples against job specifications. Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects. Completes required paperwork for each job. Packs finished product for shipment to customer. Cleans up machine and work area. Meets production and quality goals. Assists in training of new employees. Assists with other tasks as needed. Complies with all Plant Rules. All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team and permitted by the existing union contract language.
